Why is the Full Text preview column not returning results for my search?

The preview for Full Text search may not display if the search returns a document(s) with a high page count or a very long text preview. Essentially, the search result is timing out of memory in the browser due to (in most cases) one or two very large documents. The screenshot below highlights a 683 page document that is affecting the preview from appearing for this search result set.
