HighQ + Thomson Reuters Document Intelligence FAQ

Question

If a document is sent from HighQ → Document Intelligence, and then the Document Name is subsequently changed in HighQ, will/can the Document Name be automatically updated in Document Intelligence to what it is named in HighQ?

Answer

A document's file name can only change in HighQ if it is in the drafting stage, in which it would either:

• Override the current document upon saving and send the updated version to Document Intelligence:

  • "Delete and Replace" - meaning it will delete the original Word document in Document Intelligence, and replace it with the new one with the updated file name.

  • Any metadata in Document Intelligence attached to "Document A" will be deleted when the new file is updated to "Document A - Version 2" as an example.  --OR--

• Create a second, new document entirely. (Save as New vs. Save and Replace). For PDFs and other files, HighQ retains the source document file name.

Question

What happens if a Word document that exists in Document Intelligence is edited in HighQ?

Answer

Anytime there is ANY edit to the Word document in HighQ, upon saving the edits, HighQ will send the updated version to Document Intelligence. It will DELETE and REPLACE the old one, so any metadata stored in fact values within Document Intelligence will be permanently deleted. Take care when adding fact values within Document Intelligence on documents within the drafting stage of HighQ.

If a document name is changed in Document Intelligence, will it change the document name in HighQ?

Answer

If the file name is changed in Document Intelligence, it will NOT update in HighQ.

Question

If a document is sent from HighQ → Document Intelligence, and then is split in Document Intelligence, can the split documents be sent back to HighQ as separate documents?

Answer

Splits will break it - the extractions will not extract and the "preview URL" will no longer link from HighQ to Document Intelligence. 

Question

Can the Document Type field in HighQ update a Fact field in Document Intelligence automatically?

Answer

No, changing metadata in HighQ will not change metadata/facts in Document Intelligence. It only sends the document. The integration is currently a "one-way street" for metadata, meaning only from Document Intelligence → HighQ. 

Question

If there is a need to import key facts from Document Intelligence into HighQ, can metadata be easily exported from HighQ?

Answer

Yes and vice versa.

To note: the only piece of information that comes through from HighQ is the document name, so if metadata is being imported into Document Intelligence from HighQ, there may be the issue of duplicate file names.
