ERROR: FAILED TO APPLY CHANGES
ERROR MESSAGE |
WHEN AND WHY THE ERROR OCCURRED |
QUICK FIX SUGGESTION |
Failed to Apply Changes (Splitting View)
|
- Appears on the Splitting view after applying changes
- Typically means a timeout error in the application/browser
- Often happens on large packets where a user tries to clear all splits
- Also happens when a user submits a set of changes and then tries to apply more changes while the original request is still processing
|
- Attempt the changes in fewer requests, meaning to make all or most of the changes needed, then click “Apply Changes” and allow DI to process those changes before submitting a subsequent request.

|
Invalid Page Manipulation Request
|
- Appears on the Splitting view when applying changes
- Typically means an action was not allowed because the documents or pages have changed
- for example, User A is removing splits from a packet and applies changes. User B happens to be editing the same packet at the same time and tries to change document types while User A's request is already processing
|
- Refresh the search results or page to ensure that the document set is the most recent and accurate set.
|
Error Pop-Up immediately after clicking a button
|
- Could be a bad internet connection, or a very niche issue that causes the button click to not submit
